I am brainstorming 3 story ideas for a branded story.  My company is Keurig Green Mountain.  I was sitting here and thinking, what problems does Keurig solve?  Convenience, not having enough choices/variety and it is for coffee drinkers and non-drinkers alike.

Story One

  • Who are the characters? Who is the main character or protagonist? Are there supporting characters? An antagonist?

Protagonist, Average, ordinary everyday

Antagonist, The Clock

  • What is the conflict? What are they attempting to overcome?

He wakes up late for work and realizes there isn’t time to make coffee in the morning.  He then realizes he has a Keurig too.

  • What is the setting?

American home

  • What imagery are you using to convey either the conflict or the brand values?

There is always a Keurig there to save the day.

  • What brand values is the main character portraying? How is that conveyed in the resolution?

Keurig says it wants to brew a better world, better worlds don’t have late employees

Story Two

  • Who are the characters? Who is the main character or protagonist? Are there supporting characters? An antagonist?

Protagonist, American business man that doesn’t like coffee

  • What is the conflict? What are they attempting to overcome?

Their dislike of coffee.  But he realizes that he doesn’t have to drink coffee

  • What is the setting?

Office space, Home, Car

  • What imagery are you using to convey either the conflict or the brand values?

Keurig offers a vast variety of different drinks, this is symbolized by the fact he finds something he loves to drink that isn’t coffee

  • What brand values is the main character portraying? How is that conveyed in the resolution?

The brand values innovation and trying new things, that is represented in the different things the main character tries.

Story Three

  • Who are the characters? Who is the main character or protagonist? Are there supporting characters? An antagonist?

Protagonists: A mom

Supporting Character:  Her mom friend.

  • What is the conflict? What are they attempting to overcome?

Mom 1 is having trouble keeping up with her kids

Mom 2 tells her about Keurig

Mom 1 gets Keurig

  • What is the setting?

A friends house

  • What imagery are you using to convey either the conflict or the brand values?

Mom’s using it conveys convenince and the value of having a Keurig at Home

  • What brand values is the main character portraying? How is that conveyed in the resolution?

The Mom’s life is bettered by having a Keurig
